As a lawyer at Stibbe, I am a member of the Amsterdam Corporate group, focusing on ECM transactions and corporate advice. Previously I worked in our Commercial Litigation practice in Amsterdam, as well as our London branch where I handled a wide variety of corporate transactions with a focus on banking and finance.Stibbe has a leading Benelux corporate law practice handling a wide spectrum of corporate and transactional projects for both local and international clients, who we assist throughout the project.We act on a wide variety of matters including mergers and acquisitions of listed or private companies, securities law and governance issues, disposals and corporate restructurings, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, takeover defences and venture-capital transactions.As a top-tier equity capital markets practice, we regularly advise issuers and underwriters on securities offerings and listings ­– guiding them through every stage.We have a proven track record of providing legal advice on a range of transactions. These include IPOs, rights issues, secondary offerings, privatisations, block trades, private placements and issues of convertible bonds and warrants. Many of our international and domestic securities offerings and listings involve a Rule 144A element.We also have extensive international experience, with our dedicated ECM teams working closely with top US and UK firms. This allows us to deliver coordinated transactional services in each relevant jurisdiction.An invaluable aspect of our ECM practice is its integration with our financial markets group. Through this coordinated approach, we combine all aspects of securities and financial law, whether it relates to transactions, advisory and compliance matters, or that of enforcement action by regulators.We also work in close partnership with colleagues from other practices such as tax, employment and finance, in creating the most effective solutions.
