I am a Senior Research Fellow (CSIR SRF) and PhD scholar at the Dog Lab, Department of Biological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata (IISER K). I have completed my MSc from the Department of Zoology, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and have done BSc (Honours) in Zoology from Maulana Azad College, University of Calcutta. In MSc my specialization was in Molecular & Human Genetics and I did my dissertation on the topic: 'The Maternal Ancestry of Bangladeshi Population' under the supervision of Professor Gyaneshwer Chaubey, Cytogenetics Laboratory, Department of Zoology, BHU. My interest lies in classical Zoology, Genetics, Evolution, Animal Behaviour and Ecology.
