I’ve been writing and doing photography my whole life. In college, I pursued my interest in the liberal arts with a focus on Anthropology and Psychology. I have long been interested in culture and human behavior. More recently, my interests have been in underreported conflicts and news around the world. My goal is to become a full time photojournalist to capture the experience on-the ground in conflict zones while providing in-depth historical, cultural and material context. Outside my media experience, I have 2 years worth of experience in the forests of Northwest Oregon identifying native and non-native species and performing habitat management and restoration with small teams of 6-12 people.Currently, I am working part time at a Floatation therapy center. The center houses 6 sensory deprivation tanks which allow users to shut off the saturated world of sensory data and relax the mind, muscles, joints, etc. in an epsom salt water filled tank.
