● Created articles relevant to various events or occurrences at James Madison University for theBluestone Yearbook, which has won nationally-acclaimed awards like the The Gold Crown,Pacemaker awards and the prestigious Benny Award.● Interviewed people pertinent to events’ coverage at or around the James Madison University.● Implemented angles from which to tell the story and wrote in a professional, journalistic style.● Cooperated with both teams of designers and photographers, in order to culminate the best article possible.

Participated in HerCampus Editorial, an online magazine that is directed toward the demographic offemale college students, where each location is run by a social media and writer team of all women. This work is characterized by blog-style article writing and informal opinion-centered pieces. There are two required articles to be written for each month.

● Run by JMU students in the School of Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication, the RhetTech journal showcases work being done in undergraduate writing courses in colleges all over the country, including Ivy Leagues. The journal accepts submissions of text-based essays, reviews, and much more.● I am an editor for this JMU-sponsored writing journal, and my role is to call for submissions, read and choose the finalists to be published, and build the structure of the journal that has won many awards.● Meetings are once a week and are centered around filtering the pieces we wish to feature in our issue.

I write articles on travel and/or social action subjects on international topics. This involves a lot of research and a journalistic style of writing. I complete one article per week, with complete edits.

l Created packages of produce and displayed it on the sales floor. I made sure that the quality of each container was beyond the standard, not just for me personally, but for the customers themselves. Organized the freezers and boxes of produce until they were neat, as I am excellent at arrangement and planning. I wrote lists for the tasks I had to accomplish every day, and I always made sure the sales floor was attractive to customers and free of any hazards. Because of this attention to detail, our audit for my areas of expertise came back with perfect scores of 100.Communicated to people with interpersonal skills and thoughtfulness. Helping a customer find what they are looking for or recommending a product for their enjoyment.
