As a Project Officer with the Manitoba Metis Federation, I represent the Metis Government and the interests of the Manitoba Metis Community when working on files related to Mining, Fisheries, Energy, Infrastructure, and Environment.Previous employment as an Associate Scientist with Parsons, I conducted detailed Phase I and II Environmental Assessments on vacant and active sites. In this position I performed groundwater sampling, soil sampling, leak testing, k-tests, and vapour sampling. Daily fieldwork routines involved the use of laser levels, leveloggers, barometers, Trimble GPS, and RKI gas detectors.As an Environmental Inspector with Eco-Logic Environmental Inc., I monitored the Manitoba Bipole III Transmission Line for compliance of the Construction Environmental Protection Plan, Environmental License, and other environmental requirements. I assisted in developing solutions for environmental issues on-site with construction supervisors and ensured follow up mitigation measures were implemented.As a Wildlife Technician with Wildlife Resource Consulting Services, I conducted mammal ground-tracking surveys as well as game-trail camera monitoring with First Nation Assistants to determine the presence/absence of target species: caribou, moose, black bear, and wolves.
