Perform routine activities of distribution operations including, but not limited to planned and emergency switching, issuing of Clearances and contact tags along with Distribution Operation Management System (DOMS) management. Personnel assist and participate in the activities on outage inquiries along with outage and emergency communication to APS Management, Advocates Office, Media, Claims, Customer Care Center and other internal business units, and provide timely feedback and communication to key industrial, commercial and residential external customers. Maintain focus on department objectives in order to maximize safety, customer service, reliability, productivity, and efficiency.

Advise and assist the commander and staff on all safety matters, including—Developing safety policy. Developing safety goals, objectives, and priorities and integrating them into appropriate training guidance based upon identification of the most probable and severe types of accidents expected and the most likely reasons (hazards) for these accidents. Developing corrective actions/control options for command selection. Monitor the ability of each unit functional area (for example, war fighting functions) to protect the force against aviation accidents. Advise the commander when a below-standard status that affects safety is detected in any functional area. Advise and assist in developing the commander’s training assessment based upon a safety assessment of unit functional areas using diagnostic tools and programs administered or monitored by the ASO. Assist the commander and staff in assessing the unit’s CRM effectiveness and safety performance after operations by: Collecting from each staff section, information about risk-management successes, shortcomings, and neededimprovements. Assisting the commander in determining if the performance met the commander’s guidance (goals, objectives, and priorities). Observing flight and ground operations to detect and correct unsafe practices. Conducting hazard analysis, prioritizing hazards in terms of accident severity and probability, and promptly advising the appropriate officials. Conducting safety meetings monthly for active component and full time Reserve components/facilities, and quarterly for all others. Rehearsing, reviewing, and documenting the adequacy of the unit preaccident plan. Ensuring that air-traffic-control communication equipment, navigational aids, and all other electronic aids to aircraft operations are inspected frequently and regularly. Inspecting semiannually the physical condition of airfields, heliports, helipads, and tactical landing sites for hazards; when deficiencies are noted.

• Conducted long term surveillance of targets of interest with an Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in Afghanistan• Utilized sensors such as the MX15, FLIR 380, and adaptive automatic 360 degree wide-area persistent situational awareness radar• Managed 5 PGSS personnel and $7M+of equipment; provided daily, weekly and monthly status and personnel reports to direct leadership• Troubleshot and repaired fiber optic cables using fiber fault indicators, as well as network servers to reduce down time to minimum• Certified on the 22M+, and 28M Tethered Aerostat RADAR Systems
