Working within the Network Operations Control Centre (NOCC) team, I am responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to improve network operations through our SCADA, IoT Network, databases and other IT Systems.

Working as part of the Sewer Operations team there are two main duties the team performs; the maintenance of assets within the sewer network in order to reduce the risks of incidents (Preventative), and the response to incidents occurring within the network (Reactive). My duties and responsibilities within this role included; • Liaising between internal stakeholders, customers and contractors to obtain optimal business outcomes for the organization. • Developing appropriate policies, procedures and supplying coherent technical data to relevant parties in order to maintain network integrity and appropriately manage risk. • Operation of sewer assets including; pump stations, valves and maintenance shafts. • Working as part of an incident management team to appropriately respond to issues such as weather events, blockages and asset strikes, inclusive of post incident requirements such as environmental management and site testing.• Ensuring appropriate OH&S and safe work practices are adhered to. • Analysis and assessment of work programs and known failures in order to apply streamlined improvements to optimize business outcomes, and forecast future financial requirements.
