Hi, my name is Riley Frank. I am currently an Electrical Engineering major at the University of Maryland, College Park in the A. James School of Engineering. I will be graduating in December 2021, and will be looking forward to finally working in the industry. My first real relevant experience or achievements came in high school where I was a member of the VEX Robotics Club. There we built robots to perform tasks and later compete against teams from other high schools. In my second year was the biggest achievement we had as a team, reaching 3rd place in the state championships.Outside of that, I haven't really participated in any extracurricular activities, but I do have some work experience. During my 4 ad a half years in college, I spent summers working full time internships at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in there Clinical Engineering department. Over the course of those summers, I assisted in a variety of things from building "Watchdog" circuits for the hospitals nurse call systems to programming relay boxes for an up and coming visual display replacement alarm system, and even built some unit based and room based alarm management triggers in a program called Connexall.Overall, I would say that the team experience I received from my years in Robotics and the vast knowledge I gained working alongside clinical engineers and biomedical technicians makes me well experienced and a fairly quick learner. I am strong believer that learning is the best way to always to continue to improve no matter the job your working and think it can be incredibly valuable I'm making anyone a valuable asset to the company or organization they work for.
