Hello! My name is Riley Hoogsteen, I am currently 30 years old and in the final year of my studies in the Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management program. Currently, I am a reservation agent with the Brookstreet Hotel in Kanata, which I work at part-time while focusing on my studies.Previously, I have completed the Tourism - Travel Services diploma program and the Culinary Skills - Chef Training certificate program, both at Algonquin College. I have plenty of work experiences from being a manager or supervisor in both retail and food establishments, as well as work with the government and other organizations, including Ottawa Tourism. During my studies, I have earned a multitude of awards and have been offered a ton of opportunities, including being selected to participate in the Baxter Media Student Ambassador Program which I did win back in 2022. I am very ambitious with my goals, love working in teams and pushing myself to constantly learn more and do what I can to earn success.
