I am a Civil Engineer who is dedicated to improving myself and the world around me. My parents taught my brothers and I to always do our best and embrace every opportunity life provides. One of those opportunities was getting to work on The Plane Train. This design-build project gave me an incredible look at the construction, engineering, and design fields. In light of this, I changed majors from Industrial Engineering to Civil Engineering. I should've known; my dad got the same degree from Tech, and his father before him was a foreman at Plant Vogtle.I have continued building my skillset through internships, research, classes, and civil-centric extracurriculars. I am a hardworking, creative problem solver with a knack for helping others and myself reach their potential.

ValetInfinite Parking Systems Inc. Aug 2021 - PresentAtlanta, Georgia, United StatesI welcome, respect, and direct customers on one of Midtown Atlanta's last flat lots for Nan Thai Fine Dining. This role financially incentivizes good first impressions, so I have learned to engage and reassure all kinds of people (even celebrities.) I've also learned how to operate most vehicles on the road, with care. I have had to protect vehicles and guests, as well. This is a dynamic position that has taught me hospitality, timeliness, and how to make decisions for myself and others under pressure. -
Field EngineerNorfolk Southern Jun 2023 - Aug 2023I worked in one of the biggest railyards on Norfolk Southern's network, as well as throughout the state of Georgia. Inman Yard, and the rail network as a whole, lives and dies on efficiency and safety. I was able to get a perspective, and part to play, in maintaining the Thoroughbred brand of quality. This role required precise planning and measurement, common relocation, a mind for safety, as well as long days and nights. I worked with many talented contractors, office-based employees, and engineers. I learned much about best design practices, material properties/handling, critical paths (especially during outages), maintaining safety for myself and others, and the supply chain at large.I'm grateful for this opportunity to apply my skills and learn at one of my favorite places since I was a child: the railroad! -
Summer Associate EngineerClark Construction Group May 2022 - Aug 2022Atlanta, Georgia, United StatesI assisted Clark Construction, Atkinson Construction, and Technique Concrete in the construction of a new segment of the Plane Train at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport. This $280+ million dollar job gave me an incredible look into the fields of construction, engineering, and design. I worked with industry-leading specialists on the progressive design and construction of new tunnel, rail, security checkpoints, ground transit infrastructure, subterranean utility spaces, escalator and elevator systems, and parking lot without disrupting the world's busiest airport. This role taught me a lot about contract negotiation and fulfillment, design-build construction, workflows/critical paths, industry-leading safety standards, operations management, and the structure of communication between clients, contractors, subcontractors, design teams, and departments of the government. This experience inspired me to change my field of study to Civil Engineering. -
