I taught preschool for over ten years, primarily at The Goddard School, plus one year as a paraprofessional in a pilot program for a GA Pre-K inclusion classroom. Additionally, having worked at summer camps (mostly with 8–12-year-olds), having taught religious education classes (primarily with 6-8-year-olds), and being a substitute teacher at a daycare/preschool (primarily with infants and toddlers) throughout the years, I have gained a wide range of experience with young children. After that, I was self-employed for another ten years while also being a stay-at-home parent after the birth of my daughter (in 2010). Most of that self-employment was as a nanny, and the rest was as an in-home childcare provider (in my home), both with children between the ages of three weeks old and ten-years-old.
