After four months as an intern at Recover, I was asked to take over the role of Community Manager on a temporary basis.In this role, I was responsible for writing articles for the Recover ‘Newsroom’ on their website, all copy for the Recover Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X and TikTok accounts, and writing and creating weekly newsletters using HTML coding.As Community Manager, I was also in charge of monitoring any messages and comments across all of the social media accounts and responding to any queries and thoughts of customers and collaborators.My responsibilities encouraged me to interact with different departments to ensure that the correct information was shared publicly and that I could answer any queries in a well-informed manner.

I spent four months working as an intern at Recover, based in both Banyeres de Mariola, near Alicante, Spain and in Madrid. My goal was to spend time in different parts of this sustainable business and gain insights into each department.During my brief time with the Logistics department, I learnt about all of the processes that each department carries out, I created and reviewed ‘Work Instruction’ documents to explain the processes in clear written English, and I was introduced to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system.I also spent some time with the Quality department in Banyeres de Mariola, to gain insight into the important quality testing that is carried out to ensure the Recover fibre is up to the standard that brands and retailers require. In the Madrid head office, I assisted the Global Head of People & Talent by carrying out research and creating a presentation about the Employee Value Proposition of Recover compared to its’ talent competitors.The majority of my internship was spent with the Sustainability department. I worked within this team for 3 months and some of my key responsibilities included: presenting a Biodiversity Strategy Proposal to the Chief Sustainability Officer, Helene Smits, helping to implement the necessary requirements for Global Recycling Standard (GRS) certification, and attending Policy Hub meetings regarding the upcoming EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).

During my 3 months internship at Folk Clothing in London, my focus was to gain a comprehensive view of how a small fashion business is run by:Sitting in on meetings that discussed issues such as sustainability and marketing strategy, buying stock for the bricks and mortar stores, and presenting collections to multi-brand stores.Preparing samples for presentations and photo shootsDiscussing the design, sampling and production processes with designersSpending time with the Founders of the business and the Brand Manager to understand different leadership styles

Mobius Clothing is a sustainable high-quality unisex clothing brand aiming to give back to our world.In starting Mobius, I have had to:- Communicate regularly with my partner- Exchange regular emails and have had video and phone calls with suppliers to talk about the progress of the garments, the quality of the garments, prints and embroidery, and to discuss lead times.- My partner and I run every aspect of the business including, marketing, accounts and logistics. This has allowed me to have a holistic view of how fashion businesses are run.

While working at Selfridges, it was necessary to manage my time between university and work. I carried out tasks with a team, taking on responsibilities that included: Restocking the sales floor Operating the sales register Interacting with customers. Achieving individual and store targets Developing relationships with personal clients Updating visual merchandising such as mannequins and product displays

Along side school, I worked for four months and during holidays at the luxury retailer Brown Thomas as a sales consultant in their Grafton Street store in Dublin. I worked mostly in the Contemporary Menswear department. I had many responsibilities including restocking the sales floor, operating the sales register and interacting with customers.
