As a Peer Mentor, I hold individual mentoring sessions to first- and second-year students who are part of the UNLV OUR Pipe-UP program, guide them to become involved with undergraduate research in STEM fields, and provide advice on the college experience as a Computer Science major. As an office assistant for the Office of Undergraduate Research, I implemented and designed creative social media campaigns on Instagram to increase student engagement, created and sent weekly newsletters to UNLV students using Send in Blue platform, and supported the front desk by answering phone calls and assisting students with their inquiries.

UNLV Auditory Cognition And Development Lab

As a Research Assistant, I used R, Excel, and other statistical software to clean and preprocess neurobehavioral experiment data, as well as conduct data analysis for group research projects. I also helped the lab run experiments on children and adult participants for various research studies analyzing relationships between musical background, cultural.

Environmental Tomography And Emerging Technologies Laboratory

As a Data Science Research Intern, I applied my data science skills to fire science research. Mentored by Dr. Robert Washington-Allen and master's student ConTuarius Walker, I assisted in their "Remote Sensing of Belowground Biomass Pre- and Post-Fire" research project by conducting literature reviews and assisting in preliminary data analysis using QGIS.

At DON, I reported on social justice news by creating informational videos on lesser known historical and cultural events. I was involved in all stages of the content production process through narrating, animating, filming, editing, and publishing videos for the organization's YouTube channel.
