4 month co-op position as a transportation engineering student at the City of Kelowna.Data collection was a major role in this position. Using equipment such as traffic movement cameras (TMCs), tube counters (for speed and volume collection) and radar counters were the highest used instruments. Radar gun studies and other on site observations (left turn analysis, HOV utilization, sightline observations and measurements, ect.) were also performed.Analysis of count data with coordination of TAC guidelines were used to perform warrants for traffic signals, crosswalks and park/school zones was performed. Synchro 9 software was used to perform analysis of LOS and delay times of current intersections to compare with road extensions for future scenarios.
