I am a Lecturer in the School of Psychology and Wellbeing at the University of Southern Queensland. My research explores the psychosocial and developmental outcomes of digital and online engagement. Specific areas of interest and expertise include social media literacy development, contemporary friendships across online and offline contexts, and how affordances and experiences unique to the digital environment affect how people think, feel and act online. I have a keen interest in determining whether there are benefits of internet use for the well-being of socially vulnerable youth, and in working with and sharing the voices and experiences of adolescents and young adults.I am a passionate early career tertiary educator, with experience teaching in various areas of undergraduate Psychology. I maintain a particular focus on Developmental and Cultural Psychology in my current work.
