The Nevada Media Alliance is a pilot program designed to partner student journalists with local print, radio, broadcast and online organizations in covering the 2013 Nevada State Legislature. Working with other journalism students and editors at a number of different media groups, I've published content which appeared on KUNR, the Reno Gazette-Journal and the Nevada Sagebrush. I'm also helping to define ways to use social media to cover legislative meetings and updates during the session.

I represent the students of the Reynolds School of Journalism for the student body government of the University of Nevada. I sit on the Committee of Public Affairs and the Committee of Government Operations. During my time in the Senate, I've established liaison programs with local governing bodies, written legislation dealing with social media and reduced printing prices at the Reynolds School of Journalism.
