I am currently enrolled in the Power Engineering Technology Diploma program at NAIT in which I have taken immense pride in my work and dedicated a considerable amount of time and effort to excel in all aspects of my studies. Achieving a 4.00 GPA with marks well above the threshold demonstrates this effort, but my true effort extends well beyond this number. I volunteered as the VP of Operations and Membership Coordinator for the Power Engineering Club, in which I help plan plant tours and provide opportunities to expose peers to worksites. This opportunity has allowed me to enhance my communication and leadership skills. In power labs, I engage by asking questions and assisting my peers, recognising that helping others improves my own understanding. Punctuality and maintaining a continuous learning mindset defines my approach to every class. Even after tests, I continue to seek understanding with detailed reviews, questioning mistakes, and identifying avenues for improvement. On the practical front, I gained valuable work experience as a scaffolder on Canada’s largest LNG project. This exposed me to the dynamics of a plant environment, where 10-12 hour shifts demanded physical endurance and adherence to strict safety standards. Beyond the physical challenges, this position allowed me to further develop my teamwork and communication skills while learning from experienced colleagues.
