As an entrepreneur and educator at heart, I’m on a mission to create innovative solutions so people can live more successful lives. My main focus is on developing effective and creative solutions that solve workforce issues and prepare young people for success. I do this by designing and delivering career education, life skills, and workforce solutions in one-on-one, small group, afterschool, and corporate training settings. I have experience as a North Carolina middle and high school teacher, psychology research coordinator at Miami University (Ohio), career coach, instructional systems designer, youth program leader, and entrepreneur/business owner. I’m currently the Founder and Executive Director of a youth nonprofit called LEAD Training. My youth programs help young people develop self-efficacy—a belief in their own capacity to succeed—by providing opportunities to learn and practice these skills in safe, real-life settings. I have developed and delivered career and life-skills educational programs for the YMCA, Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, United Way, and various other schools and nonprofit organizations in Ohio and Northern Kentucky. I’m also a TALK2ME© Trainer and instructional designer for New Insights Communication, and I enjoy being involved with workshops and corporate training activities when I'm available. My father, Dr. Dennis O’Grady, and I recently published a book focused on the TALK2ME© System called Communicate Like a PRO. Having grown up with TALK2ME©, I’m deeply passionate about spreading the word about TALK2ME©’s impact on school systems, youth confidence, personal relationships, and corporations. As a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, I enjoy teaching scuba certification classes, mostly to university students and teens. I enjoy crazy adventures such as diving with sharks as a volunteer at the Newport Aquarium, flying, and traveling. As my sisters say, I’m free-spirited—which explains my love of not wearing shoes, driving to be my own boss, and believing that with a bit of courage, it’s possible for people to create almost anything they want in life.

Scuba InstructorThe Scuba Squad 2017 - Present"Scuba diving in Ohio?!" This is often the response I get when I tell people I'm a PADI scuba instructor. As a young kid, I loved the ocean and had my mind set on getting scuba certified. When I was old enough, my dad signed me up for a bubblemaker class (try scuba experience for kids) and I was sold...obsessed probably if I'm being honest. Since then I have had the opportunity to travel around the world diving in exotic and not so exotic locations, I've worked as an assistant Dive Safety Officer at Newport Aquarium, and continue to share my love of diving as an instructor for the last six years. My scuba business teaches scuba classes at the University of Cincinnati's rec center four to six times a year. As a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, I can certify students in the following areas: Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and eight specialty certifications. I'm also an Emergency First Response First Aid/CPR Instructor. -
