Tutoring has been a great way to maintain knowledge and skills from multiple courses while helping other students. I provide individual support for up to six different courses in finance, accounting, and statistics. Each session with a student requires problem-solving, professionalism, and patience.

I worked as a tutor for the Academic Success Center to support courses in finance, accounting, and statistics. To succeed in this role, I had to possess a high level of knowledge about the subjects and be able to quickly find answers when presented with unfamiliar questions. I also had to utilize effective communication skills and remain confident in high-pressure situations, such as dealing with stressed-out students the day before an exam. Due to my success during the fall semester, I was asked to return as a finance tutor for the spring semester of 2020. During the portion of the semester that was online, I adapted to offering my session through Zoom. I enjoyed getting to add to the Clemson community as a student through this role.

I interned at the law firm of Warner Hooper and Ramsey two days a week during the summer of 2019. I accomplished regular filing, processed documents for real estate transactions, and proofread documents. I also had the opportunity to preform some legal research by analyzing The Official Code of Georgia and utilizing an online record of cases. Because of this position, I am very comfortable working with legal documents and understanding the real estate transaction process.

I worked for Randolph Williamson during the summer of 2019 in order to get experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry. My biggest project was aiding in the development of a Pro Forma modeling the expected returns from a new medical office building. I was given a simple five-year projection. I modified so that managers could easily input different variables and view projections of up to twenty years. This was an excellent exercise in researching and utilizing different functions of Excel and I was responsible for formatting a document that was presented directly to potential investors. I also completed regular accounting and administration tasks such as reconciliations, filing, and office organization.

Hosting at Mellow Mushroom involved welcoming guests, organizing the seating, maintaining a clean environment, and running the restaurant's take-out operations. I exercised excellent customer service both on the phone and in person. I often worked in a rapid, high-pressure environment where I had to juggle multiple customers and tasks at the same time. I balanced 15-20 hours of work per week with a full, academic course load.
