I am currently a senior at The University of Delaware studying elementary education and obtaining a secondary licensure in elementary special education. I am going to be graduating with my Bachelor's degree in both areas in December 2024. I am currently completing my student teaching through the University of Delaware in a special education classroom for 2nd and 3rd grade students. I have completed all the tests, workshops, and requirements necessary for licensure in the New York State.I possess a special interest in the area of understanding the underlying principles and psychology governing human behavior. Furthermore, I am committed to aiding individuals with severe or profound disabilities in maximizing their potential and achieving optimal outcomes.I have a passion for special education and it is a life-long goal of mine to help access to education become more inclusive and readily available for students of all ability levels. I have accumulated a robust portfolio of experiences in working with individuals who have a range of special needs. Through work as a private aid at AIM, being a staff member at Camp ANCHOR, working with students at TCS, and the various student teaching experiences that I have completed, I have gained valuable insights on how to address the diverse learning needs of others. I am steadfast in my mission to contribute to creating a more inclusive educational landscape.
