I am lucky enough to spend my time continually learning and exploring the latest additive manufacturing techniques with small & medium sized businesses across Europe and China. I work hard to find improvements for these businesses and at the same time I learn from them.Most recently I have worked with an additive manufacturing company in London, helping them expand their business with the latest multi-color and multi-material FDM 3D printing technology. This new technology is opening new opportunities for them, and their customer base is growing steadily.Growing and learning as a traveling engineer is such a fantastic opportunity for me. I have so much fun and enthusiasm in what I do. I love to meet new people from all different parts of the world that have a common trait, curiosity. Curiosity drives my innovation.

As a new product design engineer I was on the leading edge of Leupold & Stevens innovation, bringing their latest ideas to reality. I worked alongside an industry leading optical engineering team to help create the latest binocular designs and Leupold's flagship military application riflescope. I also expanded my experience with the research & development team, helping shape the company's future product line. Utilising my relationship building skills I helped connect departments and individuals that were previously isolated.I also leveraged my education and experience as a manufacturing engineer to accurately document the entire engineering process to provide visibility and opportunity for improvement. I utilised the extensive knowledge and experience in my coworkers to verify my findings and once perfected, I presented to the executive management team.

I began my professional career at Hornady Manufacturing directly upon graduation from college. My initial role was to repair inaccurate and outdated technical manufacturing drawings per the latest ANSI specifications. This role quickly evolved into the lead engineer for Hornady's rapidly growing ammunition division. As a young leader I cemented a strong reputation in the company and across the industry. Bringing vast improvements in Hornady's manufacturing process and their manufacturing equipment. Working directly with machine operators and managers I designed their very own ammunition machinery and built a team of innovators that continues to push Hornady innovation to this day.

My initial role in this company was literally sweeping floors. I did the jobs nobody else wanted to do, learning at the age of 16 that education was extremely important for my future. I worked hard and found new ways to apply myself, letting the owner know I was confident and had the initiative to learn. Soon enough I was in the office building a network of computers to replace the pen and paper method of running the business. From implementing CNC equipment, an automated time clock system, mechanical CAD design, I became the jack of all trades, leaving few parts of the business untouched.After graduating college the owner offered a promotion to stay and continue my career there. I decided I needed to diversify my experience and moved on, but agreed to help them as often as I could. This continued as a part time job until I moved away from Nebraska in 2014. I believe my strong work ethic was forged by John Baasch and my time spent working with him.
