Riley is currently an Assurance Associate at Ernst & Young (EY) where he serves Wealth & Asset Management clients.Riley spent his first year at EY in the firm's National Assurance group as a Professional Practice Researcher. In this role he assisted the SEC Regulatory Matters & Capital Markets team with financial reporting research and analysis, with an emphasis on SEC reporting, rulemaking and enforcement. Riley joined EY in July 2023, after completing an internship in the Wealth & Asset Management Assurance service line during the summer of 2022. He is currently pursuing his CPA license in the state of New York.Riley graduated with honors from High Point University with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting (150+ credits; four years) and a Presidential Scholarship. Riley was a member of the Business Fellow’s program and a Dean's List recipient in six semesters. He demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills in various campus activities and positions, such as serving on the Business Fellows Student Board. Through his work as a Researcher in EY’s National Professional Practice Group, Riley strengthened analytical skills and broadened his knowledge of the SEC reporting and enforcement environments. Additionally, Riley pays close attention to business and international news, particularly in the alternative investments and cybersecurity industries.
