In May of 2023, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in General Engineering, with a concentration in Infrastructure, from Fort Lewis College. Now, I work to be a positive influence both in the workplace and in my community.I moved to Durango, Colorado from Southern California in 2019 to pursue my Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. I instantly fell in love with Southwestern Colorado and am happy to have begun work as a Civil Engineering Designer in Durango. During school, I challenged myself to take a diverse coursework to broaden my skillset and be a valuable resource in the workplace. Apart from typical engineering classes, I completed coursework related to project management, geology, and marketing. In March of 2021, I took on the job as the Durango BMX Track Operator and Head Coach with Durango Parks and Recreation. I facilitated summer camp programs, after school programs, weekly races, and other fun events for BMX racers in the Four Corners area. I also managed social media, a staff of six, and worked with the BMX of Durango nonprofit to provide opportunities for the local community. Since departing an official position within Durango Parks and Rec, I have joined the BMX of Durango nonprofit to continue to contribute to this community. I am looking to build connections with professionals in my fields of interest, and am searching for opportunities to allow me to continue building my community in the Durango area.
