Lead Technician
Current- Install commercial audio video (A/V) and A/V control systems (Crestron, Q-SYS, etc.)- Install, configure, and test Videoconference (VTC) products (Poly, Yealink, Logitech, Neat, Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, etc.)- Install, configure, and test Video Processors and Video Walls- Read and understand complex AV engineering drawings, proposals, RFPs, Specifications, etc.- Perform Site Lead duties as assigned by PM or Engineer.- Configuration loading and adjusting of DSP files (Biamp, Q-SYS)- Manual testing and verification of large and complex AV systems- Ability to develop small programs, load Crestron code or Q-SYS files, and test- Install, wire, test, and commission all equipment racks and furniture- Responsible for confirming BOMS and required project materials to be compiled and provided. Also, coordinate the return of unused or malfunctioning material to the Carson warehouse during installation or once the job is complete.- Coordinate with client or PM for trash disposal.- Responsible for quality control, inspecting completed work, and ensuring that installation was done in accordance with the drawings, SOW, Specifications, and RFPs.- Responsible for daily logs in terms of accuracy and prompt submission via HubSpot.- Responsible for enforcing safety rules and practices on sites.- Inspect and document (via photos) the site with the installation crew to ensure that no changes or unforeseen conditions exist before construction.- Particular attention should be paid to the safety of the public and the crew.- Responsible for gathering redlines, ensuring their daily updates, and turning to CAD once the project is completed.- Lead troubleshooting sessions for equipment, either remotely or on-site.- Oversee routine preventive maintenance at client sites.- Coordinate and communicate with manufacturers for RMA and subsequent follow-up
