In 2016, my friends and I had the idea to start a coffee company. We had never run a company before. We had no prior experience. We just knew we could bring something to the table that so many coffee companies were missing.Out of sweat and generous contributions from countless individuals who wanted to help us fulfill our dreams, Valor Coffee was formed on the vision of meeting guests with an excellent product backed by empathy. So many coffee shops feature the top 1% of product, but the bottom 1% of service – at Valor, we knew we could give the best of both. To begin, we built out a mobile espresso bar that could be taken virtually anywhere.In January of 2018, I began my full-time career with Valor, running our operations via pop-up format within a co-working space. By July 2018, we had begun our roasting operation.In August 2019, Valor opened our first cafe in downtown Alpharetta, followed by our roasting HQ in Roswell, Georgia in December 2020. Once we had our bearings, we opened our next cafe, located in Dunwoody, in April 2023.Through the years I've handled Valor's financials, overseeing a roasting team, and leading a media team, along with overseeing long-term and strategic project planning. These days, however, I wear the broad title of Creative Director, focusing my energy on Valor's marketing message and media channels. I consider myself an expert in intentional hospitality, priding myself in collaborating on systems that give guests the best service experience they can find, along with being adept in the knowhow of maintaining and growing a brand that is lucrative, influential and (most importantly) fun. I find fulfillment in bringing these skills to Valor's brand.In addition to my role at Valor, I'm a budding creator on YouTube, where I create content centered around specialty coffee and entreprenuership.
