Working as Media and Communications Managing Consultant at ‎ARDD, former Cultural Programs Development Manager Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation(AHSF) my work included supporting its various efforts in creating, designing and implementing cultural activities such as film weeks, music evenings, cultural forums in addition to leading the AHSF Cultural Days throughout Jordan.Before that, I was the Communication & PR Mgr from 13 May 2013 till 1 Dec. 2016 and led the re-branding, PR & communication efforts.I began my career in Jordan in 2001 as an IT officer at Fine- Nuqul Group. A year later I left to start a family in Germany, where I also learned German. In 2008, I returned to Jordan, finished a higher diploma in education, trained teachers with Cader Inc. until 2009. I then left academia and decided to pursue a career in marketing communication and PR, taking part in professional marketing and PR courses. I then spent two years as a Marketing and PR mgr at Jordan Data Systems, managing the business and marketing communication of global brands such as Micros, HP, Cisco, Microsoft. I worked as PR & Com. manager at M&C Saatchi MENA in Jordan from 2011- 2013, taking part in pitches, managing clients’ and company’s communication strategies, media relations, social media & digital presence as well as research & media monitoring. I hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Princess Sumaya University in Amman, and a diploma in ICT in education from Yarmouk University. I was involved in several social activities and programs that aim to empower children & communities, such as the Fun Streets Project with Ligua de la Partida Urbana (LPU). I also contribute to 7iber.me, blog about cultural and social issues in Jordan and support Inkitab; a book club that aims to enrich Arabic content on the internet. In 2012, I was chosen to participate in an advanced cultural journalism course and Internship in Germany among 11 other Arab journalists from the region.
