Provide exceptional support to ShortStack Clients and potential Clients. I create thorough walkthroughs over chat and emails via screen recordings, and screenshots, supplemented with the use of help docs and videos. I also work as a Social Media Marketer for the team and primarily run ShortStack's social media pages. I create weekly content across all platforms that engage our client base. I started with Sierra Nevada Job Corps as a Residential Advisor. This position gave me the foundations of understanding, trusting, and respecting students by interacting with them in their home away from home. In order to qualify to attend Job Corps, one must be in poverty. This creates its own unique challenges when compared to a traditional college. With this knowledge, students have a hard time trusting the program and staff that work there. As an RA, I provided relationship help, conducted nightly meetings, and provided leadership and guidance. All of these skills helped prepare me for my current role as a Career Counselor.

I provided a safe environment by conducting rounds at 15 minutes intervals. I offered coaching of Dialectal Behavioral Therapy skills to adolescents ages 12-17 with borderline personality disorder tendencies. Additionally, I was trained in CPI de-escalation which I used when patients were in a crisis moment. While this position was short-lived, I learned the importance of self care in my life and in my patients lives.

As an Animal Care Assistant, I participated in an integral part of maintaining Animal Welfare. I ensured animal welfare by maintaining a clean environment for the animals and by giving appropiate food. Being a Career Mentor at the Nevada Career Studio was a unique experience. The Nevada Career Studio is run entirely by current UNR students. We have been given the tools needed to teach our peers about career skills. I have learned the Career Studio Method which includes, co-exploration, small loops, appreciating the client, and owning the walkaways.

As a teacher assistant, I implemented a variety of activities for school-aged children. These included STEM, cooking, gardening, games, arts and crafts, and drama related activities. I truly enjoyed educating and interacting with the children on a daily basis.
