Welcome! I knew I wanted to enter the beauty industry from a young age. I worked at a hair salon for years before college. Here, I grew to understand various formulas like shampoo, conditioner, hair dye, and leave-in treatments. My experience at the salon fueled my passion for pursuing a degree in materials engineering and cosmetic science to contribute to developing beauty and personal care products. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Materials Engineering from Purdue University and a Master’s Degree in Cosmetic Science from the University of Cincinnati. While at Purdue, I researched oil-in-water emulsion systems for wastewater treatment applications and was published in ACS ES&T Water this year. I have an extremely strong foundation in materials engineering and decided to further my knowledge and skills in the formulation, characterization, and optimization of cosmetic products. I am an excellent communicator and can effectively convey technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
