I am co-founder and CTO of Kloop. I write, code, and train.I have been doing that for since 2006, when I and Bektour founded Kloop Media.Now Kloop Media is probably the leading investigative media in Kyrgyzstan. Kloop is OCCRP member and recipient of 2019 Tom Renner Award from Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE), 2021 data journalism Sigma Award, 2024 Free Media Pioneer award by International Press Institute, and others.We raise our own journalists and programmers. Most of the materials we publish are written by our current or former students. Many of them are under 20.My current role in Kloop is supervising projects that everyone considers insane. As soon as a project starts looking plausible I pass it to somebody else. My previous projects dealt with drones for investigative reporting, cross-linking public databases to discover corruption, real-time broadcasts using aggregated bandwidth of cellular modems, using graph databases to identify systemic corruption in public procurement, creating system to co-ordinate and train thousands of election observers (employed in Kyrgyzstan, Zimbabwe, Poland, Hungary, North Macedonia and other countries), first massive open online courses in Kyrgyzstan on Journalism and English language, and others.When supervising a project I both do management and coding.Currently I am working on creating a Temporal Network Graph (I call it Cereal Graph) to depict massive information landscape to enable manual and automatic analysis of large amounts of texts (from dozens to dozens of millions of texts).I freely speak Russian and English, code in Python, Java, and JavaScript. A bit crazy about neural networks, proficient with using GPT systems both inside and outside programming context.
