After 23 years of teaching in the classroom I have made one of the most difficult decisions of my life and that was to leave teaching. Over those 23 years I have taught many subjects, that are broken up into 3 different categories, Mathematics, Language Arts, and Computers/Technology. I have also coached volleyball, soccer, football, and now my son's T-ball team. I have tutored students in many subjects and ran a chess club for my school. During my team in teaching my favorite moments are the "aha" moments, like when a student gets something they had a hard time figuring out or accomplish a task that was difficult for them. My hope in my next career is to continue to have those moments or help others achieve those moments. I also hope to be able to show or teach the concepts behind the instructions so that the instructions make sense. My philosophy in education has been and will always be "Take what you know to help you figure out the things that you don't know."
