Currently a Senior Editor with the Literary Division at HarperCollins Publishers India, I have more than nine years of experience in the book editing field. Earlier I have worked in organizations such as Rupa Publications and Orient BlackSwan (in India), and was an editorial intern at the Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill (USA). I graduated with a MA in English (concentration: British and American Literature) from the North Carolina State University (Raleigh, NC) in May 2016 and have a BA in Psychology from Delhi University.Copy- and content-editing, and proofreading (fiction and non-fiction titles across genres), writing jacket copy, composing/adapting material for marketing and sales teams, creating layouts for books with typesetters, ideating book cover designs with designers, and communicating/coordinating with authors, illustrators, production editors, co-editors, among others, apart from evaluating manuscripts are areas that I have strong experience in.
