Entrepreneurship has been my passion since my first year of college in 2013. I embarked on this journey by offering social media management services at a time when it was still an emerging concept. Gradually, I expanded into web development, serving over 50 clients, and by 2016, I founded my first web development company focused on catering to international clients. This phase lasted until 2019, during which I explored various business ventures — from selling chocolate puddings to managing news websites.In 2018, I launched my first digital startup, Xamsure, an AI-driven test series platform for competitive exams. While it received positive feedback, monetising the idea proved challenging, and we had to shut it down in July 2019, faced with fierce competition from established players.The silent era of 2020 brought its own challenges, amplified by the pandemic. In August 2020, I initiated a new venture, Shikora, to sell kulhads (traditional clay cups) in Patna, Bihar, a Tier 2 city. Remarkably, we captured over 60% market share, a testament to my learnings in sales, market positioning, and management during this period.In 2021, I embarked on my most ambitious project yet — Storenama. The vision was to create a platform to support the unorganised 82% of the e-commerce sector, helping customers identify fraudulent sellers and assisting vendors in managing customer feedback, especially regarding RTO (Return to Origin) issues. Despite our ambition, limited funds, and a small team hindered our progress, and the emergence of ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce) in 2022 led us to pivot our strategy.Pivoting to a D2C model, we launched Devgange, a direct-to-consumer religious and spiritual brand. The results were phenomenal — achieving over ₹4 crore in sales in December 2023 and exceeding ₹5 crore in January 2024. Managing an ad spend of ₹3 crore+ gave me deep insights into digital sales and performance marketing. However, challenges such as high RTO rates and delayed customer feedback mechanisms highlighted the need for further optimisation.Today, I am focused on reviving the learnings from these experiences into a new digital product, aiming to address the very issues that have impacted growth in the past.Through these ventures, I have embraced the journey of continuous learning, adaptation, and resilience. My story is one of trial, experimentation, and the relentless pursuit of innovation — all driven by a passion to create meaningful, scalable solutions.
