Under Interstate Hotels & Resorts (IHR) management, on a day to day basis I have been directly responsible for (i) verifying & processing all hotel invoices/expense reports to company standards to ensure financial accuracy and timely payment to take advantage of invoice discounts and avoid late fees; (ii) maintaining the manual purchase order log as well as the issuing & tracking of all manual PO’s for month end accrual purpose, (iii) completing monthly vendors’ statement reconciliations, (iv) having to do an extensive amount of cash handling than most 200 room hotels due to having Air New Zealand crew rooms that receive cash perdiems at check-in in addition to the normal cash deposits & change orders; (v) conducting monthly random audits on all associates’ house banks to ensure the implementation of hotel Cash Control policy and procedures, (vi) monitoring and maintaining monthly reconciliation of hotel’s Disneyland ticket inventory. On a regular basis, I also assist the DOF with reviewing & balancing the E-Daily income journal and doing some of Month-end closing accrual entries.
