Hi, I am Rishab Ranjan, a recent graduate in Office Administration Program from Georgian College, Barrie, Ontario. I also have a diploma in Computer Applications as well. I hail from Punjab and I moved to Canada in 2019. Currently, I am working as an Assistant Team Leader at Spectra Aluminum, Bradford since October 2020. My program helped me to learn skills necessary to work professionally as an Administrative Assistant be it a Medical, Legal or a General office.Education at Georgian helped me excel in a plethora of skills such as: Medical Terminology, Transcription, EMR Systems, SOAP notes, Bookkeeping, Anatomy, Presentations, Scheduling, Appointment Booking, Prioritization, Documentation, Filing, Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge such as Word, Power Point, Excel, MS Access, Publisher and more. My journey at Georgian was not only knowledgeable but fruitful as well. I was recognized in Dean's List Letter for 3 consecutive semesters.I have also enhanced my communication skills in the English language. Recently I gave my IELTS exam and I scored an overall band score of 8 out of 9 in it. My role as an Assistant Team Leader has taught me soft skills including leadership, team working, time management, risk analysis and problem solving. Moreover, every day at work is a new lesson to learn and comes with new possibilities. I was awarded promising employee title in the month January of 2021. Also, I have made such a great relation with my coworkers that they are now my friends, and work does not feel like work anymore. Apart from the professional life, I like to spend my time playing football with friends, going to gym and being physically active. I spend my leisure time cleaning house, gardening, and meditating. It helps create a good work-personal life balance for me.In crux, my education and most recent job experience assures me of promising success in the role of an administrative assistant. I believe I would be an asset to the organization and I am keen to learn more everyday as I work at your prestigious institution.
