During my internship as a Chemical Engineer at National Fertilizers Limited, I had the opportunity to work closely with the Urea and Ammonia plants. My responsibilities included:- Gaining comprehensive knowledge about the production processes of urea and ammonia.- Production Process Analysis: Gained in-depth knowledge of the Haber-Bosch process for ammonia synthesis and the subsequent production of urea through the Bosch-Meiser urea process.- Process Optimization: Assisted in monitoring critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and catalyst activity to enhance production efficiency and product quality.- Understanding the chemical reactions and engineering principles involved in the production of these fertilizers.- Observing and analyzing the operation of plant equipment and machinery.- Assisting in monitoring and optimizing production parameters to ensure efficiency and safety.- Collaborating with experienced engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and solve operational challenges.This hands-on experience enhanced my technical skills and provided valuable insights into large-scale chemical manufacturing processes, reinforcing my passion for the field of chemical engineering.
