InternInternational Energy Agency (Iea) Jul 2021 - Dec 2021Paris, Île-De-France, FranceInterned under the general energy relations wing of the IEA. As an intern, I undertook a multitude of tasks. One of these tasks was the preparation of official correspondences that were sent to relevant Indian ministers in the Government of India with proper organizational messaging. Moreover, I prepared a thirty minute speech for a memorial event that was delivered by the Director of the IEA. Researching and analyzing new energy trends both broad and specific was also a major part of my role in this organization, this is because I was regularly tasked with both creating and updating internal organizational documents on key energy topics such as global net zero commitments. -
InternObserver Research Foundation Jun 2020 - Sep 2020New Delhi, Delhi, IndiaDuring my time in ORF, I worked primarily in the Economy and Growth program and undertook the following activities.1. Helped find potential experts from the United States in the field of International Economics that could speak in a webinar. These candidates had to have a decent following and reputation. After constant evaluation of the candidates I had come up with 5 candidates who had decent notoriety and were under the age of 50. 2. I wrote a few points on how the Renewable Energy Industry has been negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. 3. I wrote a research paper on how Covid-19 can provide opportunities for developing countries in the field of trade. This paper was about 1500 words long, and was published on the ORF website on July 29th. You can read it here: https://www.orfonline.org/expert-speak/covid-19-developing-countries-and-shrouded-opportunities/. 4. I made a table which compared the Indo-Pacific region in the present with the Trans-Atlantic Region in the 1980s. The indicators that were compared were GDP growth, military spending, trade and culture. The countries looked at in the Trans-Atlantic were the U.S, Canada, United Kingdom, France and Germany. While in the Indo-Pacific it was the U.S, Russia, South Korea, Japan, China, India, Australia and Singapore. The comparisons were made mostly using data, while others were made with observations.5. I wrote a background note on the 2000 U.S Elections. This included a note on the elections that year in general, main presidential candidates and the India-connect (what implications would both candidates have for India). 6. I had also further. contributed to the previous project by writing a state profile on Illinois which included a brief intro of the state, impact of the pandemic on the state, the major industries and how they've been affected, main issues in the state , electorate analysis, political leaning and the prominent faces of this state.
