Exploring the potential technologies with the main objectives of freeing up clinician’s time for patient care; create a better record of patient care; reduce the clinical documentation paper workload; and provide a positive enhancement to clinician’s work experience. Finding the appropriate technologies that are used globally either by clinicians (doctors, nurses), administrative staff or healthcare assistants (HCA’s) which decreases the administrative burden and increases clinician/patient contact time, with an evidence from a literature review, conducted Australia and overseas.• Liaised with the Clinician Workforce Policy Unit members, other partner units such as Clinical Access and Redesign Unit (CARU), Patient Safety Unit, and professionals with expertise in human factors to develop a research based assessment and selection strategy. • Analysed existing practices, use of the existing care system, and existing gaps in practice to determine a broad scope of requirements for a probable replacement system. • Conducted meetings with different stakeholders to discuss the current technologies used and discuss the potential of researched Information Technology Solutions in the healthcare system.• Reviewed feedback from the working group, writing reports and giving presentations.• Summary report of changes and the rationale.• Analysed, researched and provided recommendations that could decrease the healthcare administrative burden.• Researched and collected data on alternative systems.• Final report written with literature evidence that can be useful for the clinicians for providing a better care to their patients.• Assisted in developing the proposal and presenting it to the Board of directors.
