Open Avenues is a non-profit organization working to educate traditionally underrepresented student populations in the U.S. and inspire careers in STEM, business and entrepreneurship.As a Global Talent Fellow at Open Avenues Foundation, I develop and lead Software Engineering projects, helping student gain skills that are valued in the industry.

• Worked on ETL pipeline to monitor analyze speed and memory usage using Grafana and Kibana dashboards.• Implemented search analyzers by modifying es mapping generation algorithm. Enabled partial search to increase data model usage for customers.• Designed and implemented the software to pre-validation of client data.• Modified language lexer algorithm that converts sql queries to es queries.• Implemented features & fixes to enhance data models & es mapping generation to support downstream teams.• Implemented unit test (Pytest) for a multi-threaded distributed system.• Utilized kafka to publish millions of messages and elastic scaling the pipeline for thousands of records.• Owned full cycle testing of major data models to stabilize the pipeline for go-live. Created a therapy chatbot that helps the user feel relieved of depression or suicidal feelings which comprises of 3 aspects: Representation, Searching, Learning.Led the machine learning aspect of the team.Implemented Decision Learning Tree for the learning aspect of the Chat Bot using heuristics.Chatbot learns with every input given by the user (i.e. a generative bot); generates a new decision (learning) tree with the updated training set.
