The aim of the project was to classify whether an applicant would default on a loan or not that would act as an intelligent tool for banks while lending loans to customers. Firstly, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) was used to scrape data using UiPath studio.The dataset was based on previous customers' banking and loan history and was preprocessed by comparing multiple imputing and scaling techniques besides using one hot and label encoding. Then, the important features were selected by comparing multiple correlation coefficients on one hand to get the strongest features and PCA to reduce the dimensions on the other.Furthermore, supervised ML algorithms were used to train the models. And, the models were compared through their performance matrices and by plotting their graphs.Also, an extensive development and business use case documentation was well maintained for future use.
