As a cost control and procurement manager at The Els Club, a prestigious golf resort in Dubai Sports City, I leverage my 20 years of experience and my HOSPA certification to deliver high-quality financial services and solutions to various food and beverage outlets. I am passionate about community development and social work, which I studied at the master's level at the University of Madras.In my role, I oversee the cost control and procurement operations and provide strategic guidance and support to the management team. I ensure the smooth and effective running of the day-to-day cost control operations, as well as assisting the food and beverage department to achieve the budgeted F&B cost. I verify the invoices of food and beverage items purchased on a daily basis, monitor the par stock levels in beverage outlets, and update the P.O.S system with accurate outlet revenue potentials. I also provide management with suggestions for future price structuring of menus, utilizing my knowledge of current trends and unit prices. Additionally, I manage the costing of menus, the control of food, beverage, and general store issues, and the balancing of store issues and purchases from inventory and general ledger. Furthermore, I generate weekly outlet expenses reports for outlet managers and ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures.
