My role as the technical analyst is to perform research and analysis of engineering breakdowns and production downtimes to improve the overall line uptime. Analyse and review individual processes of each line to ensure the process is optimised for maximum output while maintaining EHS. Coordinate continuous improvement programmes for all processing lines targeting reduction in scrap generation, operating costs and breakdowns.

My role involved:-Light fabrication-Breakdown and Downtime Analysis-Carrying out Preventive and Corrective- Maintenance with technicians-Store-keeping and daily service readings-Machine installation and servicing-Preparing Standard Operating Procedures for machine operators and technicians.

As a Mechanical Intern, I was involved in following areas of work:- Machining & Fitting- Preventive maintenance of PVC extruder & pulveriser- Milling, drilling & tapping- Identification of defects in machinery- Installation of new wire drawing machine- Cyclone damage prevention (installation of shutters and covers on building fixtures and ventilation)- Storeman (tool plus equipment inventory and care)- RELEVANCE- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling- Experience in planning of predictive preventive maintenance, scheduling of equipment overhauls.- Lean Principles- Successfully implemented parts of lean principles for scrap reduction and breakdown frequency reduction.
