I have obtained my B.A. (Hons) degree in English from St Xavier's College, Kolkata, and my M.A. in English from Jadavpur University in Kolkata. I have recently completed my PhD from Savitribai Phule Pune University. My topic was related to post-colonial Indian drama. I have cleared the National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC. I have worked as a creative writer in a part-time or freelance capacity for various educational or creative art organizations. My aim is to become an established academician and contribute to the exploration and study of Post-Colonial Literature in India. I have been awarded several prizes throughout my academic life in various co-curricular activities like Declamation, Skit Performance, Debate and Creative Writing. I was also one of the rank-holders in the state of West Bengal in my Class XII ISC Board Examinations, with a percentage of 97.25%. I enjoy reading books and it is my earnest desire to be part of a job which inculcates in young people the habit of regular reading.
