W3C is hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, USA, by the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics [(ERCIM) in Sophia-Antipolis, France, by Keio University in Fujisawa, Japan and at the Beihang University in Beijing, China. The work of the Consortium is done by international Working Groups composed of participants from around 400 member organizations and many invited experts.The Internationalization Activity at the W3C aims to make the World Wide Web world wide. It works with W3C working groups and liaises with other organizations to make it possible to use Web technologies with different languages, scripts, and cultures. It also helps content authors, implementers, and specification developers understand how to apply the international aspects of W3C technologies.Also, member of the Editorial Committee for the Unicode Standard, and the Unicode Ad Hoc Script committee, and for many years the Advisory Committee and Review Board for the Internationalization & Unicode Conferences.
