Coming from a Family Business Background, my childhood is filled with dinner table conversations about business. I had no pressure to become a doctor or an engineer luckily - my Grandfather used to ask me to start my own business all the time. This coming from a serial entrepreneur in those days my Grandfather failed in over 20 businesses before he landed on our current family business. Yet it was very clear that we need to be in the business field.I have been working since I was 19 years with the aim of living the American Dream. I worked with a production house as a stylist, a strategy executive at an Events & Intellectual Property company, an account executive at a Retail Design Firm & Fashion Buyer & Communications Manager at Startup before I co-founded a womenswear brand. This happened 6 months after my grandfather passed away - It was his belief that I can and should run my own company is possibly why I am here today.A lot of learning & growing, led me to build a D2C brand -The Sass Bar. My endeavour is to build an innovative brand from India, made in India. I don't want to be the Indian Counterpart to a successful Western Brand - Copy, Pasting & reframing a brand for the Indian Context has seen a successful run but its time we Indians value ourselves & come up with Original ideas for the world to see!
