CurrentKey Responsibilities:Legal Representation: Represent the Punjab Government in courts, tribunals, and other legal forums in civil and criminal cases, ensuring effective advocacy and defending the government's interests.Legal Advisory Services: Provide expert legal opinions and advice to government departments, agencies, and officials on a wide range of legal issues, including legislative matters, regulatory compliance, and constitutional matters.Case Management: Oversee and manage a team of attorneys and legal professionals in handling complex and high-profile cases, ensuring efficient case preparation, strategy development, and timely execution.Policy Development: Collaborate with government officials and legal experts to contribute to the development and reform of policies and legislation relevant to the state's legal framework.Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to stay updated with legal developments, precedents, and emerging issues that may impact the government's legal position.Drafting and Review: Prepare and review legal documents, affidavits, petitions, and other legal correspondence to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with the government's legal stance.Court Proceedings: Personally attend and represent the government in court hearings, trials, and appeals, advocating on behalf of the state with professionalism and expertise.Coordination: Collaborate with various government departments, law enforcement agencies, and legal stakeholders to strengthen interdepartmental coordination and ensure the government's legal interests are well-represented.Ethics and Compliance: Uphold the highest ethical standards, maintain client confidentiality, and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
