I started my career as an Entrepreneur in High fidelity Audio systems soon after graduating in Electronics and Communication engineering in 2006. Roke Systems, my audio solution wing in my family business, started in 2006 with 3 dedicated staff for my work alone. To meet the financial needs of my R and D, I joined Govt. Engg. College (GEC), Palakkad as a Lecturer in the Electronics and Communication Engineering Department in 2007. Due to hectic travel I left that job and joined Indian Telephone Industries Palakkad as a telecom engineer and then moved to BPL Telecom as Telecom Engineer. Telecom Engineer role was not the cup of tea for me, so I quit. Due to financial crisis I had to shut down the R and D. So I decided to go back to teaching as it triggered something in me. The first offer was from IES College of Engineering Thrissur in 2007 and I joined there as a Lecturer. During my tenure, I worked on the student projects in my department and decided to start a small R and D in my department. So I got an assistance from one of my colleagues and got a few industrial projects. In the meantime, I took leave for two years to do my Masters in Engineering (Communication Systems). I rejoined in 2012 as Assistant Professor and got back to my R and D. My first task was to mentor one of my students from IES to compete at IEEE GHTC in San Jose California, where he grabbed second place for the same. With that exposure, I decided to stretch my knowledge to other engineering streams. I got a scholarship for further studies at the University of Leeds, the UK in 2014 and left for the UK. After my studies (MSc in Mechatronics and Robotics), I joined Muthoot Institute of Technology and Science in 2016 as Assistant Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering Department. My passion for R and D helped me to publish few journals in 2017 and 2018. Then I thought of Industrial projects with real Government funding. I joined hands with one of my colleagues and started working on a proposal. We worked day and night and finally ended up with a good proposal which we applied to the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and went through. Since there was a small delay in receiving the funding we started working on the topic. This ended up in two patents and an Industrial project with GE healthcare. Our performance and results helped us to grab a few more opportunities from Industries like Texas Instruments, Nest SFO and government firms. Currently, we are working on the last phase of DST-SIME which is fully funded by the Government of India.
