As National Head- Business Development, my key responsibility was to deliver the revenue targets across India. Leading a team of over 25 professionals, spread across Business Development, Client Servicing and Creative functions, I have consistently achieved the targets as well as developed a very stable and distinguished client base for the organization.As a part of the senior leadership team, worked on formulating annual business plans, budgets and strategic growth plans for the organization. Was the key interface with the WPP team that lead the discussions and due diligence for the merger of Hungama’s “agency business” with JWT Singapore. Also lead the company’s foray into Cause Marketing and Mobile based Rural marketing businesses.Developed strategic relationship with clients such as Unilever, ITC ( Cigarettes, Personal Care and Foods divisions), United Breweries, Intel, Tupperware, Britannia, Bacardi, Microsoft, Mahindra, GPI and many more. Consistently delivered path breaking, award winning campaigns.Established Hungama as a pioneer and a thought leader in Integrated Marketing arena, with focus on digital innovations and integration. Spearheaded the team to use technologies such as Augmented Reality, Gesture Recognition, Speech Recognition, Music fingerprinting, QR Codes, IVRS and many more to develop customized digital, social, mobile and on-ground solutions for clients.Leveraged the other businesses of Hungama, including Digital Content, Mobile VAS, Gaming and Artist Aloud to enhance our campaign offerings and create unique solutions, only hungama can provide. Also developed and executed 2 IPs- Artist Aloud Music Day and LaunchcastUsed new age analytics tools such as Radian 6, Hashtracking, Google Analytics and Pagelever to keep a track of our campaign’s performance and results

Joined Wizcraft International, the leaders in Event Marketing business in India to spearhead their foray into the Brand Activation business.Was entrusted with the responsibility of setting up the Promotional Marketing division right from scratch and leverage the existing client relationships of Wizcraft to tap into their activation budgetsWorked upon a strategic 3 year growth plan for the division, including the revenue targets, geographical presence, resource planning and positioning for the divisionPut together a high impact team of 15 professionals spread across Business Development, Client Servicing and Operations. Within the first year of our establishment itself, were able to win mandate for some of the largest activation campaigns from clients such as Unilever, Aircel,Videocon, Intel and more.

Joined as a part of the core team that led Laqshya’s foray into the Digital Out- of - Home media businessWorked closely with the technology team to understand the best practices in digital out of home from around the world, including those in China and US.This combined with our understanding of Indian consumer’s media consumption habbits was used to create Digital Out of Home media products that can deliver relevant marketing communication solutions to the brands.Handled complete responsibility of Product Management for “Business Q”, Laqshya’s largest digital OOH product. Worked on creating a unique positioning, right pricing, developing measurement matrix for digital OOH and developing all marketing communication material for the brand.Helped the acquisition team identify and acquire media assets at strategic locations including Hyderabad airport and across DLF commercial properties in Gurgaon.Actively participated in larger sales pitches and helped the sales team achieve revenue targetsAs a part of the senior leadership, participated in creating longterm strategic plans for the division including the organization structure and revenue targets

During the early part of my career, joined Kidstuff Promos and Events, India’s leading promotional marketing agency as a senior executive and within 4 years was elevated to the level of Vice President. During this time, Kidstuff was also taken over by the Mudra group.Utilized my early days in the organization as a part of the operations team to closely understand the relevance and effectiveness of various tools of promotional marketing and continuously worked upon optimizing them.Within a year, was shifted to the Business development function, where I was assigned with the responsibility of tapping into some of the largest marketing spenders in India, including PepsiCo, Unilever, Canon and Intel.As a technology enthusiast, proactively integrated digital and mobile technologies with our promotional marketing solutions, including IVR and SMS based participation mechanism for consumer promotions. Conceived and implemented some of the most outstanding and memorable consumer promotions, including Pepsi- Toss Ka Boss and Blue Billion express, Kwality Walls- Ek Din ka Raja, Intel- Kismat ki Chaabi and many more.Was a part of the 2 member core team that set up the trade marketing business for Mudra- Multiplier.After merger with Mudra, was a part of the core team that worked on creating integrated solutions with other divisions including Primesite ( OOH),Tribal DDB (Digital) and OMS (media buying).
