Responsibilities:A) Managing and leading my team• Manage, develop and provide leadership to the billings team• First point of contact for any queries, questions or issues and escalate where required• Maintain leave requests and approvals for team including absenteeism and rostering• Chairing regular meetings with the team- ensuring key issues and questions are addressed and escalated• Reviewing and approving email templates to ensure professionalism and consistency is always maintained as a brandB) Establishing and Maintaining Relationship with External Stakeholders• Actively researching and engaging with new software providers to ensure business needs are met within the budget• Initiating meeting with associated laboratory companies that we work with to ensure processes are reviewed and re-assessed when needed• First point of contact for customers to drop their feedback regarding invoice dispute• Discussing alternative payment options with financially constrained patients with utmost empathy• Communicating with unsatisfied patients and receiving feedbacks and escalating where needed to ensure business processes are improvedC) Billing and Account Receivables• Maintain the governance of billing practices and work on initiatives to improve effectivenessand efficiency of all billing processes• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all billing and debtors within a set time frame• Maintain and establish professional working relationships with internal stakeholders acrossthe practice• Corresponding and communicating with patients, Medicare and Healthfunds regarding anyoutstanding debts, bills or invoice related queries• Approving payment plans whilst ensuring it is in the best interest of both parties, patient and business• Represent the Billing Team for internal department meetings

Responsibilities : A)Financial Analysis:• To collate financial data from business units as required to be able to identify the business trend• To convert data into meaningful graphs in order for a better understanding of the trend• To analyze and forecast future trend based on various factors (eg. government/environmental)• To identify and analyse business trends and inform management of any unusual changes followed by discussion managers and proposing solutions to overcome sudden changes if required.• To present Trend Analysis to Finance Manager and discuss factors affected as well as assisting manager for Board Presentations.B)Patient Billing• To assist reception staff in ensuring clinic billing has been carried out accurately and in a timelymanner, including resolving any billing issues and following-up any unbilledappointments• To generate invoices for patient appointments, liaising with third party and submitting invoices through portals, reconciling and following up when required. • To batch bulk-billed invoices to Medicare and DVA electronically on a regular basis.• To rectify errors and forwarding resubmissions of any Medicare, DVA and Private HealthFund billings as requiredC)Maintenance of Financial Records• To complete weekly reconciliation against bank statements•To complete month end reconciliation which includes cash, cheques and business bank accounts.• To conduct cash counts and prepare cash and cheque receipts to be deposited intobusiness bank account• To reconcile patient accounts receivable and following up unpaid accounts as required• To conduct aged debtors for individual patients, healthfund and third party entities on the basis of 30, 60, 90 days and follow up for payments as required. • To ensure billing spreadsheets are accurately updated• To prepare and submit applications for new Medicare provider numbers as required• To prepare and submit documentation to register doctors with Private Health Funds asrequired.
