Rissa has a total of 27 years of experience in human resources development, having worked in various capacities as Center of Excellence, HR Operations Lead, HR business partner and external HR Consultant.Her 12 years of work experience in management roles in human resources started as the lead for Personnel and Industrial Relations Department of a manufacturing firm, a position she held for more than four years. In her recent two employments, she served as the HR and Admin Manager where her focus is to develop and implement HR strategy for business expansion while overseeing the whole gamut of HR service delivery: talent acquisition, onboarding, training and development, employee engagement, employee discipline and labor/employee relations, total rewards management, exit interviews and offboarding processes. Her strong HR Operations profile includes being the CoE for talent acquisition, training and development and employee relations in both mid-size and large companies. She also took lead roles for ensuring timely administration of payroll and employee benefits, resolving related conflicts, design and implementation of employee benefit programs and vetting external vendors. She has worked with companies with organized labor groups and has even represented a few to DOLE and NLRC and pushed toward dismissal of outstanding labor cases.Exposed to utilizing MBO principles in Performance Management, Rissa has often designed KRA-based appraisal forms and link this to the compensation philosophy of her client companies. She has done annual salary reviews and designed salary structures for her client companies. She keeps the organization in-check by creating, updating and maintaining sound human resource policies and procedures and keeping updated job descriptions. Where necessary, she initiates job evaluation process to ensure competitiveness and equity of each job in the organization in relation to its value in the total rewards management.
