• Develop and implement comprehensive academic, eligibility, counseling, monitoring, and support services for student-athletes.• Monitor progress toward degree and eligibility status for approximately 160 assigned student-athletes.• Evaluate each student-athlete's academic skills and aid in development of academic plan; including study skill techniques, time management, and related academic information and resources.• Communicate with coaches regarding eligibility issues, grades, and coursework for student-athletes. • Liaison with student-athletes’ campus advisors to ensure proper course schedules are correct for their educational goals and meet required NCAA benchmarks.• Monitor student-athletes’ matriculation status, track classroom performance, and advise student-athletes regarding athletic eligibility and coursework.• Prepare weekly and end of the semester academic and eligibility reports for coaches and staff, and prepare end of semester data reports analyzing academic success of student-athletes.• Assign and supervise graduate assistant in duties of day-to-day athletic counselor.• Cultivate and facilitate ongoing training program for Graduate Assistants for academic support of student-athletes and eligibility rules.• Assist international student-athletes with understanding and transitioning to an American academic setting.SAAC Advisor•  Oversee SAAC meetings and the Community Outreach, Events, Marketing, and Student-Athlete Engagement sub-committees.•  Responsible for helping plan and execute community service project for Special Olympics and student-athletes.•  Participate in coordinating the Powercat Choice Awards show, a student-athlete end of year awards andcelebration event.

• Manage academic support initiatives for at-risk football and men’s basketball student-athletes.• Conduct weekly advising meetings with football student-athletes and keep detailed notes on grades and issues.• Assist student-athletes with documented learning disabilities regarding learning strategies.• Teach at-risk student-athletes study skills, organization skills, and time management skills.• Implement summer bridge objectives and help student-athletes reach positive outcomes.• Develop course material for an organizational leadership class (OLHR) for student-athletes. • Supervise study hall and designated tutoring areas.• Attend meetings with head coaches to report student-athlete grades and eligibility issues.• Evaluate transcripts of prospective and transfer student-athletes based on course grades and test scores.• Assist Compliance staff with student-athlete certification process.• Assist Director of Student-Athlete Development in coordinating Life Skills programming.• Monitor tutor requests and update tutor contract information.• Examine improvement of student-athlete cohort classification levels.• Design and update SASS recruiting flyer.

• Act as a secondary contact for Football, Women’s Soccer, and Volleyball.• Monitor and document academic progress for at-risk student-athletes.• Responsible for tracking progress of continuing eligibility for assigned student-athletes. • Encourage and assist student-athletes with establishing goals and implementing a plan to achieve their goals.• Communicate with coaches and other academic staff regarding grades and any other academic or eligibility issues. • Maintain information in APP for APR purposes.• Supervise study hall and arrange tutoring appointments.• Assist in Life Skills programming and events.• Facilitate meetings with prospective student-athletes regarding academics.• Instructor for a 2-credit hour student-athlete course (UC 2900).• Prepared and presented coursework for effective learning strategies and skills, time management, leadership concepts, and NCAA rules and regulations.
